Company pride, but make it fashion.
For Democracy Fund’s fifth annual staff retreat — and with staff having grown from three to nearly 60 — commissioned a staff gift. The big ask was to make it something special and unique; something staff would actually want to wear after the retreat.
More than just a big logo.
This product was one of the first opportunities to extend Democracy Fund’s new visual identity in a new direction, taking advantage of the flexible system to create something memorable and fun. Original explorations were much more brand-centric — much heavier on existing Democracy Fund branding and brand elements. The breakthrough came in trying to find the sweet spot between delivering some team pride and something staff will be actively excited to wear out and about. We decided to use Democracy Fund’s brand elements to create abstract expressions of each team’s work.
